Kick the Debt Habit in 2012
Nick Finnegan Counseling Center Offers Only Inner-Loop,
Monday-Evening Financial Workshop
Making over personal finances ranks high on New Years resolution lists,
and this year is no exception. Since strained finances often result in
anxiety and even depression, Nick Finnegan Counseling Center kicks off
2012 with a free, 13-week financial workshop.
Known to many, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace workshop begins January 30
providing tools about getting and staying out of debt, saving more and
giving more. The free workshop guides attendees toward financial peace
via video lectures and small group discussions.
The workshop is at no charge to attendees, but workshop materials are
required and must be purchased in advance at Dave Ramsey’s site. Couples
with joint financial accounts may share a single set of materials.
Call 713-402-5046 to register for the workshop or to request free child
care, which is available by making a reservation with a minimum of one
week’s notice.

Why
Twenty-five percent of Houstonians have debt reduction on their
financial resolutions list according to Fidelity Investments' 2012 New
Year's Resolutions Study. Such aspirations make sense considering Forbes
found Houston as one of the nation’s top 20 cities for highest percent
of income owed to credit card companies. With 33 percent of consumer
debt stemming from revolving debt such as credit cards and 67 percent
from loans, American personal debt is at an all time high almost topping
$2.4 trillion. Now is the time to act, and the Dave Ramsey Financial
Peace workshop can help make resolutions into reality.
