HCC
Trustee Named Entrepreneur of Year
Asian Chamber of Commerce Honors Trustee Neeta Sane
as Business Owner and Community Activist
The Asian Chamber of Commerce named Houston Community
College Trustee Neeta Sane as a recipient of the 2010 Entrepreneur of
the Year. Sane is sharing the honor with Allison Wen, Safari Texas;
Vincent Chau, Great Prosperity Equities, Inc.; and Trung Doan, Studio
Red Architects. The Chamber will recognize the honorees at the Asian
Chamber of Commerce Gala April 23 at Kim Son Restaurant, 10603 Bellaire.
The Chamber chose these honorees because they
overwhelmingly fulfill the selection criteria of the ACC’s
Entrepreneur of the Year award. They possess the entrepreneurial spirit
demonstrating independence, creativity, individuality and risk-taking;
personal integrity and community involvement; market impact, and
financial performance and sustainability.
Sane represents District VII on the HCC Board of
Trustees. As a board member, she is committed to making educational
opportunities available for everyone in the greater Houston area.
Sane leads a successful software development and
consulting company, Positronic Systems, LLC, established in 2002.
Positronic Systems provides innovative fraud-prevention and payment
processing systems.
Aside from successes with her business, Sane is known
for her community involvement. She founded the county-wide International
Festival in Fort Bend County, one of the most ethnically diverse and
fastest growing counties in the U.S.
