Houston Area Teachers Give Praise for Heroes

Local children’s group perform ‘edutainment’ shows at elementary schools to teach kids how to stay safe

Children’s group Heroes Hip Hip Hurray bring their ‘Heroes @ Home Club’ show to elementary schools all over the Houston area to teach youngsters that ‘anyone can be a hero.’

Over 3000 pre-K and elementary school students in the Houston area have seen the free show. The group is also performing concerts at area festivals throughout the summer. Here is some of the response from school staff:

“Heroes at Home Show is awesome, our kids loved it. It’s not just a show, the kids go away with learning, they talk about the environment, safety, it was just awesome. Everybody thought it was better than the field trips they’ve had!”

- Mildred Mills, School Administrator, Early Childhood Development Center, Deer Park ISD

“The Heroes at Home performance was amazing! My students left with
wonderful ways to stay safe and are still singing and dancing to their
catchy tunes! The performers were so talented and interacted with the
children so well.”

- Sarah Haney, First Grade Teacher, Commonwealth Elementary, Fort Bend ISD

Heroes Hip Hip Hurray celebrates the heroes who serve our community. Fireman Frank, Police Officer Patty, Ranger Rita, and Nurse Nancy perform all original songs with the help of their loveable dog friend Bernard. Pre-K through Second Grade children learn about bicycle safety, wearing seat belts, and how to dial 9-1-1.
