Montrose Counseling Center: New Laws to Affect Bullying/Youth Suicide
Montrose Counseling Center is pleased that Governor Rick Perry has
signed legislation that stands against bullying and provides avenues for
youth to receive suicide prevention.
"We commend the governor and state legislature for standing up for Texas
youth," says Ann J. Robison, PhD, Executive Director of Montrose
Counseling Center.
According to MCC Youth Services Specialist, Deb Murphy, "This has been a
tumultulous year for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth, and
it is gratifying to know that our lawmakers recognized they should take
action to protect their future.
